I am Saira Andleeb subject specialist in Education working in Govt. College for Elementary Teachers (W) Sharaqpur, Sheikhupura. My institute is a Teachers’ training Centre for pre-service teachers. It is very beneficial for the students and teachers’ .Being a master trainer it is very important to work on new strategies in teaching learning process and implement new assessment techniques in the classroom. ADE (Associate Degree in Education) is also started in our college. I am practicum coordinator. I teach Educational subjects to M.Ed , B.Ed and ADE classes.
Province
I live in Lahore along with my family. Lahore is a provincial capital of Punjab. Punjab is rich in agricultural land and also called “Land of five rivers”.punjab is also very rich in having historical architect. Literacy rate in Punjab is more than the other province.
Punjab has very unique culture in rural areas

Family
I am married. My husband is an advocate in high court. I have one cute son “MAHD-UR-REHMAN”. My in-laws and parents both are very supportive for me.my father and my mother in law are real force of mine. I have one brother and one sister. My brother is studying in university of Engineering and Technology. My brother in law is a national boxer.
Personal interest
I like to be a teacher, because teacher is a change trigger. I like the energetic and full of zeal community.
I like to read books of any type, but most of them based on my religion, sciences, computers and literature. I love Internet surfing and found a lot of information and some teachers resources also.
Future plans
I want to be a ‘Good’ teacher, who not just teaches education but also ethics to the coming youth. And who educates his youth how to give and get respect. I want to stay connected with the parents of my students by informing them of what is going in the class and keeping them up to date so they can help their children’s as well. We aim to provide quality education with a fine blend of character building and moral values to the future hopes of Pakistan.
I want to lead my educational community with commitment, integrity, motivation, dedication and by showing respects to students and to their questions.
So my possible future goals are;
(1) To make my teaching methodology more interactive for my prospective teachers
(2) To make prospective teachers confident and hardworking.
(3) Building broad-minded and positive nation.
INSTITUTIONAL DESCRIPTION
Background of Sharaqpur
Sharaqpur, an ancient town was populated all most two centuries ago. It is town of saints, noble and pious men of Allah Almighty for what it is called Sharaqpur Sharif with respect and reverence. Not only is its soil very rich and fertile for cultivation but also for producing great scholars, doctor, engineer, High officials in defense forces and grate educationists as well. Businessmen and other professional are also in living Sharaqpur. It has made much progress in every field of life because of its hardworking inhabitants
Overview of college
Institution was established in 1937 and is located at “50 km Lahore JranWala Road, near Bra Adda, Sharaqpur Sharif District Sheikhupura. The College was upgraded by the name of Govt. College for Teacher Training (W), Sharaqpur in 1973. In the beginning, few programs like PTC, CT, OT, SV, DM and B.Ed Elementary Morning were initiated but refresher courses for in-service teachers were also inducted in the college with the passage of time now M. Ed Elementary, ADE Programed and B. Ed Elementary Evening are going on in the College.

Background:
The challenges in capacity building of education sector in Pakistan in general and Punjab in particular involve establishing standards for teachers, education managers and educational institutions .This coupled with an accountability system based on accreditation of teacher education programs for institutional strengthening and putting in place teacher licensing and certification regime will set a benchmark to work towards achieving highest standards in terms of both quantity and quality targets set for the educational system in Punjab. The standards for curriculum of primary ,Elementary and secondary level content have been established .The standards for teachers and Teacher Education Institution have also been developed .The standards for some teaching courses in Pre Service Teacher Education have been developed .However there is a need to develop the vision of standard based education for all area of teaching learning process among curriculum developers, educational Leaders ,teacher educators and teachers.The master action plan covers important issue of dissemination of vision of standard based education . The standards can be useful to guide all other system components.
MAP Goal:
To develop the vision of Teaching force on Standard Based Education. Major goal of the plan is to develop capacity building of teaching force on Standard Based Education in the largest province of Pakistan on local context by learning from global best practices

The experts in the area of the standards from mentor clusters and curriculum developers will be selected to participate in workshop.
