MAP Goal:

Capacity Building Of elementary School Teachers in Teaching Methods through professional development trainings

Overview: In our rural schools, there is the need for teacher capacity building in the area of instructional strategies. As subject specialists, we want to increase our own knowledge of diverse instructional teaching methodologies, as well as increase the capacity of our fellow teachers----at our institution and in nearby institutions (walking distance and metro). To do this, we will hire a specialist in the area of instructional strategies (especially in pedagogy) to conduct five days of training for teachers in the region. Outlines for the trainings have been drafted, though final decisions about the training will be made by the resource person/expert.

Two weeks after the training, we will go to assess the teachers who attended the workshops. We will go their schools and observe their methodology with our checklist. If further capacity-building is needed, we will offer suggestions on-the-spot, in a constructivist, healthy, positive manner. For issues that we cannot resolve, we will consult our own mentors/senior teachers.

At two months, we will visit UNSCHEDULED to see if the methodology is employed or not.

The teacher will be able to :

Max Warburg Courage organization

The Max story was very impressive. It contributed a lot about children with learning difficulties. The courage which I personally feel was in Max’s eyes. He was a fighter who fought against leukemia with boldness. His story gave the lesson of fighting lifes troubles to do something which will remain forever. I will share his story with my students and also I will share with children of my family.
It was lovely meeting with Max mother. Those who are working in the organization deserve appreciation that they are leading the children of world on the dream of Max.
In his video at the last moments of Max’s life he was waving his hand with the sign of victory and his victory is going on and on….
Hopefully our children will become a part of Max’s victory.
